LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian's reality show, LeAnn & Eddie, has officially been canceled by VH1 in what is no doubt a devastating blow to the twosome.
Conversely, somewhere, Brandi Glanville is cackling into a glass of Chardonnay. Okay, that's probably not fair. It's more like an entire bottle knowing her.
Multiple media reports have confirmed the show's demise after a single season.
In July, LeAnn cited the series - widely panned by critics and audiences - as a way to "take our life back and have fun with our story and where we are now."
She and Eddie acknowledged the irony of turning to reality TV as a way to stop celebrity gossip, but said it was all done in good spirits and to tell their story.
"What's really real about the show is our relationship juxtaposed by everything the public reads and is fed by the tabloids. Ultimately, this is a comedy," he said.
Fans weren't doing much laughing, however. Just eye rolling and cringing.
Without a Season 2 of LeAnn & Eddie, how will we ever see their behind-the-scenes reaction to the tabloids' fixation with whether LeAnn Rimes is pregnant.
Thus far, they have denied Rimes is expecting, but she clearly wants to be.
"I also do not want to miss what could be my only opportunity to have a child," the 32-year-old singer, and stepmom to his two sons, said on the show.
LeAnn has also had problems conceiving, or so she's implied in the past.
"I do want [a child] with LeAnn," Eddie added, unconvincingly. "If this is a decision we have to make now because of her fertility than I say we should just do it."
We wish them luck with that ... but can't say we're broken up over the fact that their painful lives won't be playing out in front of reality TV cameras anymore.
