Was it hot on The CW last night?
Or was it The Flash Season 1 Episode 10?
The 2015 premiere of this CW smash (“Revenge of the Rogues”) played out like a live-action comic book, with former Prison Break colleagues Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell reuniting as Captain Cold and Heat Wave, respectively.
The hour opened with Iris preparing to move out of her childhood residence and in with Eddie, despite Barry having just poured his heart out to her.
This quiet moment didn't last long, however, as Cold and Heat attempted to lure The Flash to a routine car theft. Instead, they realized, they had target someone close to him in order to bring down their nemesis.
With the Captain back in town, Barry wasn’t sure how to handle him. Should he settle the old score, endangering civilians in the process?
Or, as Dr. Wells urged, should he focus on his training and leave the S.T.A.R. Labs team to help the police via cold-restraint shields?
Barry initially went with the former, yet when Snart appeared with his hot-headed friend and roasted the CCPD, he realized the error of his ways.
Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Barry helped Caitlin realize that Professor Martin Stein (to be portrayed by Victor Garber) had his F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M. project abruptly shut down and commandeered by the Army, after which the professor disappeared.
What might this mean about Ronnie?
We don’t have time to ponder now because Caitlin got taken by Hot and Cold on her way back from the school. Fortunately, The Flash (courtesy of advice from Cisco and a heroic move by Eddie) baited the baddies to cross their streams, Ghostbusters style, neutralizing their weapons.
With that mission accomplished (for now), Barry helped Iris finish packing. The two of them agreed to be friends and Barry wished her and Eddie the best. He later decided to move back into the West home.
HOWEVER, Cold and Hot aren’t down for the count. Rather, a prison break (!!!!!) of sorts was all part of Snart’s plan, as their transport van was intercepted and they were freed… by Snart’s (unseen) sister, who will be played Peyton List.
We love it! You simply must watch The Flash online to catch up on this fun episode if you missed out.
