A few days after this white and gold (or is it blue and black?) gown nearly caused the World Wide Web to burn down, the controversial clothing item has returned in a pair of contrasting ways.
First, American Idol hopeful Jax donned #TheDress while performing on the Top 8 women special last night.
“Is this the dress that broke the Internet?” host Ryan Seacrest asked after Jax sang Ain’t No Mountain High Enough. “Is it white and gold?”
On a very different side of the fashionable spectrum, The Salvation Army has come out with a Public Service Announcement using a white and gold version of the dress.
It is worn by a woman covered in black and blue bruises and the caption reads: “Is it so hard 2 see black & blue? 1 in 6 women are victims. #StopAbuseAgainstWomen."
What do you think of The Salvation Army using a pop culture trend in such a manner? Anything to bring attention to such an important issue, right?
Even more important than whether or not the dress is white and gold or black and blue, as debated by some famous names below:

F*ck the dress it’s heinous. I have read the explanations and still cannot fathom how ANYONE sees white and gold and I think they’re attention-seeking LIARS.
