Joanne Borgella, a finalist on Season 7 of American Idol and the first-ever winner of Mo’Nique’s Fat Chance, died after a long battle with cancer on Saturday.

She was 32 years old.

Borgella's family confirmed the tragic news via a brief message on Facebook that reads:

“With heavy hearts, we are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Joanne.”

Borgella competed on the opening season of Mo’Nique’s Fat Chance as “Miss F.A.T.” She went on to advance to the final 12 women in 2008 on American Idol.

Five years later, Joanne was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, updating fans about her condition in a series of Facebook videos.. Her last update came on September 23, as she prepared for more radiation and chemotherapy.

"At an early age, Joanne made a choice to serve and trust the Lord; and since her diagnosis over a year ago, Joanne made a choice to also be a fighter and share her journey with the world," her family wrote on Facebook, adding:

"Her faith, courage and strength were unshaken throughout every obstacle she encountered,” continued Borgella’s family. “Although our family is suffering with this great loss, we find comfort in the closeness Joanne shared with the Lord.

"We know her spirit still shines and will continue to live on in heaven."

Yes, the user referenced not only Kylie, but Tyga's ex-fiancee Blac Chyna. Needless to say, dude didn't take it well:

Wow. Unnecessarily harsh perhaps, but then again, accusations of pedophilia are nothing to take lightly. Which may be the best reason that 24-year-old Tyga should just stop hanging out with 17-year-old Kylie.

Despite the fact that Teresa Giudice is still trying to get out of her prison sentence, there's no way that the reality star won't be getting locked up on January 5.

As though that news wasn't bad enough, it now seems Teresa's 15-month sentence will just be the first leg of her incarceration, as Radar Online reports the mother of four will serve several months in a halfway house after she's released.

"The first two months she will be living in a halfway house," says a source close to Teresa. "During the day, she will be expected to get a job, or look for one. She will be allowed to see the girls, but will have to spend the night at the halfway house."

The source adds that Teresa may be required to stay in the halfway house even longer than two months if officials are not happy with her progress.

As you may have guessed the famously hot-tempered Teresa is not thrilled about the arrangement:

"Teresa is absolutely furious at the prospect of going to a halfway house," said the insider. "What's more, during that time she will be randomly drug tested."

"She wants her lawyer to get her out of serving time at the halfway house. As usual, she is living in a dream world if she thinks that will happen."

Teresa lucked out with her prison assignment, as she'll sent to Alderson Correctional Facility in West Virginia - a cushy facility that convicts have nicknamed "Camp Cupcake."

Of course, the source claims Teresa is in no way grateful for that stroke of good fortune, and she won't be satisfied unless she gets out of serving time altogether.

The straight-talking, business-savvy brunette is returning to The Real Housewives of New York City for the show's seventh season, to air early next year.

"I'm excited," Frankel, 43, says, apparently over her Vietnam-style flashbacks. "It feels like the first season when it was fresh and new and unknown."

Carole Radziwill, Heather Thomson, Kristen Taekman, LuAnn de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan will be back, too, a rep for the show says.

After leaving the Housewives in 2010, Frankel initially stayed in reality TV, starring in Bravo's Bethenny Getting Married followed by Bethenny Ever After.

Both reality ventures chronicled her marriage to and increasingly rocky relationship with Jason Hoppy, with whom she later warred over child custody.

Her short-lived eponymous talk show Bethenny ended after one season, but her Skinnygirl cocktail empire has been valued in the tens of millions.

"I felt very constricted and very handled," Frankel says of daytime television and how it wasn't the best fit, whereas "reality TV was very freeing for me."

“Karma’s a bitch, clink, clink,” Aprea told the Bravo cameras, even going so far as to mimic her wrists clanking together, as if she were being handcuffed.

Even so, Teresa reportedly wants to have a typically extravagant yuletide celebration complete with pricey gifts for the kids. Predictably, her husband Joe is having none of it.

"Teresa had hoped to give the girls an over-the-top Christmas because she is going to be reporting to prison on January 5," a source tells Radar Online. 

"Typically, Teresa would spend $10,000 just on gifts for the girls. From designer handbags, jewelry, one of a kind dolls, there isn't anything that the girls asked for and didn't get."

While that's the kind of fiscal responsibility that helped land Teresa a 15-month prison sentence, she reportedly has no plans to change her ways and in fact, insiders say she wants to go more all out this year than ever before.

Shockingly, for once, Joe Giudice is serving as the voice of reason:

"Joe even suggested that the girls only get one present each, and told Teresa to go shop at the local Goodwill store," says the insider. "Of course, she balked at that."

Reportedly, the Giudices haven't told their kids they're headed to prison, with the exception of oldest daughter, Gia, whom they considered to be mature enough to handle the news.

Hopefully, "Mom and Dad are going to jail," and "You're only getting one Christmas present," will be two separate conversations. That's a lot for a kid to take all at once.

The 45-year-old stepped out for one of the biggest ladies’ nights of the fall season: The 2014 Elle Women in Hollywood Awards, at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills.

The queen of plastic surgery. It's shocking how different Heidi Montag used to look and how badly this obsession turned out for her.

Last week, rumors that Lionel Richie is Khloe Kardashian's father surfaced online after some amateur geneticists noticed that Lionel's daughter Sofia kinda looks a bit like Khloe.

Gotham Season 1 Episode 6 Promo

The official Fox synopsis simply teases that Gordon will be "forced to deal with the consequences of his past decisions," which doesn't sound like it bodes well for the detective.

Also not boding well? The villain at the center of next Monday's special Halloween episode.

He's murderer who targets Gotham elite's firstborn children, and fans can expect the case brings to bring back painful memories for Harvey Bullock.

They can also look forward to Dan Hedaya guest-starring as a veteran detective and Carol Kane returning as Oswald's creepy mother.

Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas - Dancing With the Stars Rumba

A dance style known for its sometimes sexual nature, the rumba from the Duck Dynasty youngster brought her judges, fans and family to tears.

In a good way.

Before the dance, Robertson was seen during rehearsals expressing her concerns, noting that she didn’t want the performance to “come off as sexy.”

“I hope this week, it doesn’t come off as sexy, but it comes off as sweet,” she said. “It’s just so awkward to me, and when I get awkward, I laugh a lot.”

Aww.

Sadie, whose brother John Luke Robertson is engaged at 19, said she talked to her grandmother and mother to clear some of the moves with them.

Her professional "Quack Pack" partner, Mark Ballas, carefully abided by the family’s wishes while choreographing the routine we saw on last night's show.

“I wanted to find the correct balance between being appropriate and doing the right dance,” Ballas said of the routine, as well as Sadie's ensemble.

Sadie's dad and Duck Commander CEO Willie Robertson approves all her costumes, so there's no question the pressure was on Mark on this one.

While both Robertson and her partner expressed worries about how it would be received, the couple ended up shining, and scoring a 35 out of 40.

That total was more than enough to coast through the Dancing With the Stars results portion and kept them on track for this season's final episodes.

Rather than penalize her for offering up a more reserved version of the dance, judge Julianne Hough praised Robertson for sticking to her values.

“Obviously, the rumba is a super passionate dance, right," Hough said, but added that Sadie proved it can be that and "doesn’t have to be raunchy."

”This was a beautiful story about falling in love, and that’s what I loved about that," she said, and America and the other judges clearly agreed.
