During an event in Cape Town, South Africa yesterday, Randy Orton celebrated a victory by standing on the ring's turnbuckle… only for a fan to sneak into the ring and clock the grappler in the testicular region.

"The matter is currently under investigation by the local authorities, and the South African fan is being held in jail pending criminal charges," reads a post on the WWE website. "The extent of Orton's injuries are unknown at this time."

We doubt they're very serious. But, as every warm-blooded male around the world can relate to, that doesn't mean this wasn't extraordinarily painful.

She's never taken an umbrella to a camerarman. But Miley Cyrus has gotten an extreme haircut.

And that's just one thing this singer has in common with Britney Spears, as Cyrus gushes over her famous friend in a new interview with Huffington Post UK.

"Everyone goes through a time in their life where they don't want their picture taken everyday," the 20-year-old said of Spears. "She just never had that time where she could say, 'I'm going through something right now and need to shut down.' I also don't have that, so it's good to have that one person in my life who gets it."

In what way has Britney been a role model for Miley? Explains the latter:

"I just think it’s never blaming you or making you feel like ‘you’ve got all this going for you,’ it’s like she knows. Sometimes life just steps in the middle of your career the way life always does for anyone - it’s just ours is a little more 24/7."

Miley has been more outspoken than usual this week.

She espoused the use of marijuana. She outlined her views on gay marriage.

In June, Spears Tweeted at Cyrus: "Loving your new video for #WeCantStop! Maybe you can teach me how to twerk sometime LOL."

Miley then replied with excitement:

"We could twerk it out in exchange for u teaching me da moves 2 'slave for you' (I've been practicing for the past 10 years."

Lindsay Lohan is out of rehab, having just wrapped up her latest 90-day, court-ordered stint in which she split time between two California facilities.

But the hard part has just begun, a judge warned.

The judge who sent her into rehab for violating probation by lying to cops ordered her to attend therapy three times a week for the next 16 months.

He made the decision hours after she left rehab.

In a letter to the judge, Cliffside Malibu confirmed that Lindsay Lohan had "successfully completed her court-ordered course of treatment at the center."

However, it is "critical" she continue treatment.

The facility says without three, 50-minute sessions per week required by the court (with attendance verified), she is "set up for almost certain failure."

Cliffside Malibu's founder suggests the sessions "should be done face to face while she is in town, and via Skype or phone if she is out of town."

Lindsay Lohan has been in rehab at least six times and told Piers Morgan as recently as May that she felt it was all a big joke and waste of time.

"Constantly sending me to rehab is pointless," she claimed. "The first few times I was court-ordered to rehab it was like a joke, like killing time."

Cliffside says she didn't treat it like one while she was there, though, reiterating, "We couldn't be happier with the progress Ms. Lohan has made."

What LiLo does next is on her, and reports that she's making a "cut list" of people to remove from her social circles is clearly a great first step.

It's hard to get any worse than it's gotten in the last five years, right?

Cleveland kidnapper Ariel Castro was sentenced to life plus 1,000 years in prison today, one week after he pleaded guilty to avoid the death penalty.

The court in Cuyahoga County (Oh.) is seizing the property of the criminal and imposing a fine of $100,000 on him, in addition to his massive sentence.

"There is no place in this city, there is no place in this country, there is no place in this world for those who enslave others," Judge Michael Russo told him.

"A person can only die in prison once," Russo added of the mammoth sentence, which he said was "commensurate with the harm" done by Ariel Castro.

Russo, noting how Castro treated victims, said consecutive sentences rendered in his case must be "imposed" to protect the public and "to punish you."

"You don't deserve to be out in our community. You're too dangerous."

Speaking at his sentencing hearing, Castro turned around in the courtroom and glanced at family members of the victims. "I am truly sorry," he said.

"Thank you victims. Please find it in your heart to forgive me," he said at the end of his statement, but the judge and the victims were quite unmoved.

Ariel Castro took issue with the aggravated murder charge related to the allegation that his abuse terminated the pregnancy of one of his victims.

He said there was no evidence that the incident ever occurred; Castro did plead guilty to that and nearly 400 counts of kidnapping and rape, however.

When Judge Russo reminded him that he pleaded guilty, Castro said he did so only to save his three female victims further psychological trauma.

Castro tried to argue that he is "sick" and not a monster as portrayed, but Russo countered that he fits the very definition of a "violent sexual predator."

Russo said Castro admitted this as well "by virtue of your plea."

Noting that Castro had an "outwardly" normal relationship with a girlfriend, Russo said it's clear "you are able to choose who you wish to victimize."

Tragically, he victimized Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight for a decade, chaining them in his basement and raping them repeatedly.

Knight spoke out about her ordeal at the hearing today (below). A thousand years can't help these brave young woman heal, but it's a good start.

Justin Bieber took a break from singing on Tuesday night in Newark and tried his hand at teaching.

Clearly perturbed that fans were tossing items on to the stage, Bieber stopped the show and asked that attendees refrain from such actions. When they continued to do so?

He asked if everyone knew the meaning of the word "refrain."

One individual apparently did not. And when she threw her iPhone at the star, he stuck it down his pants!

Earlier in the week, Bieber made like Eminem during a show in Detroit.

And then yesterday he received a special award for making music history.

The Powerball lottery jackpot soared to an estimated $290 million after no one claimed the six winning numbers and the grand prize Wednesday night.

The winning numbers for the July 31: 8, 24, 39, 49, 59 and the Powerball number 5.

No one took it home, so the pot grows. The next drawing is Saturday, August 3.

Though there were no Powerball jackpot winners, two players, in Oklahoma and Oregon respectively, won $2 million each for the Match 5 Power Play.

The Power Play option, which increases the prize, costs an additional $1 to play.

The chances of winning the Powerball grand prize are 1 in 175,223,510. Slim.

Robert Redford is back on the big screen with the upcoming All is Lost. The list of actors that can pull off a film of solely them on a sinking boat and then life raft? It is short.

Alex Rodriguez is negotiating a settlement and suspension with Major League Baseball stemming from his use of performance enhancing drugs, reports say.

Last week, it was rumored that A-Rod faced a lifetime ban if he fought the MLB and lost. Now, it looks like he's quietly working on a different strategy.

A source familiar with discussions told ESPN that A-Rod's representatives are now negotiating a possible settlement that could result in a long suspension.

MLB officials have told his attorneys that they are willing to ban him for life, although sources said it is not clear if commissioner Bud Selig is prepared to.

Some within the organization reportedly say they would rather force A-Rod to defend himself than agree to a suspension that allows him play while he appeals.

He has been presented "volumes" of documents establishing a connection between the Yankees third baseman and Biogenesis clinic founder Tony Bosch.

Sources said MLB was also given evidence supporting accusations that Alex Rodriguez attempted to coerce at least one witness in MLB's investigation.

That accusation is the basis of MLB's argument that Rodriguez may be punished for his conduct, in addition to multiple violations of the game's drug policy.

MLB apparently hopes he will accept lengthy suspension that keeps him off the field through at least 2014, without the time and trouble of an arbitration hearing.

Whether he agrees to it or not, MLB is expected to issue suspensions for Rodriguez and other players connected to Bosch within the next few days.

Most players are expected to accept 50-game suspensions - the standard punishment for a first performance enhancing drug violation - without appeal.

Ryan Braun has already settled with the league.

If Teresa Giudice is looking for sympathy these days, she may wanna look someplace other than in the heart of a former member of the Bravo family.

With Giudice and her husband facing 39 counts of fraud and up to five decades in jail, Bethenny Frankel was asked yesterday about Teresa's legal plight.

"I haven't paid that much attention," Frankel said at the Television Critics Association summer press tour. "Do I feel sorry for them? No, I don't. Not so much, because it broke the law. You broke the law and you went on television. That's not really that smart."

Frankel is going through an ugly divorce from Jason Hoppy, however.

And because the estranged couple has a young daughter, the talk show maven and successful entrepreneur does feel for Teresa and Joe Giudice's four children.

"Their kids didn't sign up for this," she said.

The Giudices are the parents to Gia, 12, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 7, and Audriana, 3.

They are due in court against on August 14 and Joe Giudice - technically an Italian citizen - could be deported if he's found guilty on certain charges. Teresa is doing her best to remain calm in the face of such a possibility.

Laura Whitehurst, a former California high school teacher, pleaded guilty to having sex with a minor student - whose baby she recently gave birth to.

She agreed to one year in jail, five years' probation, lifetime registration as a sex offender and sex offender counseling. She will be sentenced August 28.

She pleaded guilty to sex crimes charges in a deal that entailed her admitting unlawful sexual intercourse and oral copulation of a person under 18.

Yes, it is called that.

Teacher Pleads Guilty To Having Sex With Students

Laura Whitehurst was a teacher at Citrus Valley High School in Redlands, Calif., giving birth June 18 and resigning from her position earlier this month.

The unnamed student was 16 at the time of the tryst.

"One thing led to another, and he ended up at her residence, and it's been going on approximately one year now," said Redlands police Cmdr. Shawn Ryan, adding.

"She was open with her pregnancy. I don't know what her story was to everybody else, but it was an open pregnancy. The school district knew about it."

The mother of the now-17-year old victim learned of her son's dalliance with Whitehurst and called the cops, who subsequently launched an investigation.

She was being held on $500,000 bail.

Whitehurst could have gone away to prison for a LONG time, as she faced 41 felony counts - one for each copulation, apparently - with the minor.

The death of Cory Monteith will be addressed in the third episode of the coming season, Fox's Chairman of Entertainment Kevin Reilly said this afternoon.

"The third episode will write Finn out ... that episode will deal directly with the incidents involved with Cory's passing and the drug abuse in particular," he said.

He would not confirm rumors that Finn also dies of a drug overdose.

However, creator and executive producer "Ryan [Murphy] will shoot some PSA's with the cast, who will speak directly to the audience," he said.

Additionally, all the proceeds resulting from sales of the Glee music in that episode will go toward forming a foundation in Cory Monteith's memory.

Last month, Murphy addressed and mourned Monteith's passing.

"We will begin shooting in late August the two shows we had already written, so that people can physically go back to work," the show creator revealed.

"We will then do an episode that will deal with the death of Finn."

Following a long hiatus after that, "I don't know exactly when we will come back, and we are trying out best with this attempt at damage control."

Monteith died at the age of 31 from mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol, the British Columbia Coroners Service confirmed on July 16.

Glee Season 5 premieres September 26 on Fox.

Kim Kardashian has taken a pathetic page from Kris Jenner.

A few weeks after Jenner teased her talk show premiere with a supposed North West photo, Kim took to Facebook this week and posted a shot of herself, Kourtney Kardashian and a baby, with the caption:

This is not daughter North West she's looking at, of course.

It is a picture of nephew Mason Dash from a few years ago.

And it seems like even the most ardent Kim Kardashian supporters are growing sick of the fake-outs and misleading images/information. Wrote one follower:

"Enough kim !! We already know this is not ur baby north west !! ... U want millions of dollars just to see ur baby ? C'mom ... Ur baby worth that money? Cuz i dont think so !!!"

Where's the brain bleach when you really need it?

Reddit can be a great source of information, especially when it comes to their AMA (Ask Me Anything) posts. This week, screenwriter Tony Swerdlow took to the site in hopes of raising some publicity for his Indiegogo project, The House Itself.

However, it was Swerdlow's admission of being high as a kite while writing such classics as Cool Runnings and Little Giants that caught everyone's attention.

The amazing part? Swerdlow's description of his reaction to the heroine, "it made no difference... it was like using oxygen it didn't get me high.. just let me function.. glad you love the movie though."

So heroine is like oxygen? Not having ever used heroine I'll have to take his word for it but that was certainly not what I would have expected.

Swerdlow is clean now thanks to having suffered a heart valve infection that more or less forced him to drop the drugs. We wish him all the luck with his new film. Always nice to see someone get their act together, "like using oxygen" or not.

Is Jennifer Aniston pregnant? No. Not a chance.

But hey, why let that stop you if you're In Touch and you want a break from Kim Kardasian or Kate Middleton coverage? Exactly. Just go with it people.

The celebrity gossip magazine claims that after YEARS of failed relationships, her baby dreams will FINALLY be realized ... next year. Maybe.

According to this obviously reliable source, Jen has begun IVF treatments, and if all goes as planned, she’ll be pregnant by her 45th birthday February 11.

"She’s ready,” says an insider close to Jen and fiancee Justin Theroux, adding that she will be “an amazing mom.” We have no doubt she will ... but come on.

How many years will it take before this story stops being recycled? Between this and her lack of weddings, we're almost hitting Jen tabloid fatigue.

She even said this week that she has no date set with Theroux, though she already feels married. Are kids in the future for them? Maybe. Or not.

We won't know for sure until she actually is pregnant, but she's certainly in no hurry, and the obsession with the topic on tabloids' part is a tad strange:

Anthony "Spice" Adams has gone from the gridiron to the grill.

The former Penn State standout was drafted in 2003 by the 49ers and played four seasons in San Francisco, followed by four seasons in Chicago before retiring in March.

And now he's a viral video star!

Adams has released "Slab City," a parody of the 2011 hit "Rack City," that features plenty of slo-mo sauce action, along with a lot more than you probably want to see of this large man without a shirt on.

There's making a point, and there's being creepy. It appears as if one North Dakota anti-abortion group is skewing a bit on the creepy side with their latest move.

Some people go to the State Fair to sample various fried goodies and perhaps ride the Ferris Wheel. The Minot Right to Life group however? They went to hand out little squishy fetus dolls to children.

Even fellow pro-lifers are giving this the Scooby-Doo "wth" look. Rob Port, editor of conservative blog Say Anything, noticed his 5 year old daughter with the toy and wasn't too pleased.

He later commented on his blog, "Whatever group is out there trying to promote the pro-life message by handing out squish alien babies, stop. You're doing more harm than good."

While that statement pretty much sums it up, the best line from Mr. Port was this - "stop being a bunch of weirdos."
