Lady Gaga is ready to take the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards stage for her first live performance since undergoing hip surgery in February.

At the August 25 show, Gaga will be performing her new yet-to-be-named single, which is due out August 19, off her highly anticipated album ARTPOP.

Gaga is no stranger to the VMA stage, where she's appeared in:

• A gory, murder-simulating rendition of "Paparazzi" in 2009
• A meat dress, one of her top fashion moments, in 2010
• Drag, as her male alter ego "Jo Calderone" in 2011

What can we expect this year? Lady Gaga nude in an ARTPOP live-action performance art piece? More gender-bending, hermaphrodite rumor madness?

Being escorted in by a large animal? Wearing a giant frog suit?

Who can say. But THG will be there at the Barclays Center.

In an ad for a Brazilian rum called Ypióca, John Travolta proves that his dance moves may not get better with age… but they remain better than most!

The 30-second spots starts with the former Grease and Saturday Night Fever star donning a straw hat and sauntering around on the beach, followed by an attractive woman giving him an exciting hug.

He then kicks a soccer ball, scores a goal and celebrates by moving and shaking like only John Travolta can. Take it all in now:

The cast of Glee paid final respects today to Cory Monteith.

The actor - who passed away from a drug overdose on July 13 - has been remembered via Instagram and via song by various former costars.

But Fox released a statement today that said cast and crew members came together for a private memorial.

“Today, Ryan Murphy and Lea Michele gathered the cast, crew and producers of Glee, along with colleagues from the network and studio, to share memories and music in an emotional celebration of the life of Cory Monteith,” the network said. “We thank the public for their continued outpouring of love and support as we grieve our friend and colleague during this difficult time.”

Prodution was pushed back a week in light of Monteith's passing and Glee Season 5 will now premiere on September 26.

The Mrs. Carter Show has been filled with many memorable moments.

Beyonce has honored Trayvon Martin with a moment of silence... she's had her butt slapped... she got her hair stuck in a fan and never missed a note.

But last night may have been the tour's most romantic moment, as Beyonce was thanking her fans and giving her backup singers props when a certain someone raced from backstage, planted a kiss on the artist and then scurried back as the crowd went insane.

There are some people out there who rather spend their time without the constraints of clothing. Far be it for me to deny them that opportunity. 

However, there are plenty of people down in Florida (why is it always Florida?) that are none too happy about the nude bed and breakfast they have as neighbors.

Technically it is a "naked hangout club" according to the home's owners Terry Engels and Chip Malinowski and they offer the rooms for $99 a night.

Their neighbors are rather incensed by this, claiming that "as many as 280 to even over 300 cars" had been parked at the residence over a month's span. I'm imagining Mrs. Kravitz standing out in the street with a counter.

That's not really what steams their broccoli though, oh no. It's the sounds they hear of people apparently having sex in the backyard that has prompted the neighbors to suggest that the homeowner, who does not have a permit to run a bed and breakfast, needs to be arrested.

$99 a night seems pretty reasonable. Go out, get the permit, and then gather up a few pairs of Google glasses and these guys could have a booming business! 

Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans was back in court on charges of cyberstalking (against ex Gary Head) and assault and heroin possession (on/with Courtland Rogers).

In a rare piece of good news for the troubled reality star, the cyberstalking charge was dismissed - and the other two charges may soon be too.

Yes, she could be off the hook even after admitting on MTV that she was a heroin addict? Attorney Dustin Sullivan says he "doesn't foresee" a return to court.

A big reason for that? Courtland Rogers, who appeared in the same courthouse just one day before, copped a plea and is going to be released.

“Courtland has worked out a plea deal and he’s going to get out of jail in the next day or so,” a source said. “He was basically given time served."

"He pleaded guilty to his charges and now he’s going to get out.”

Jenelle Evans and Courtland Rogers are still legally married, but she's moving in with Nathan Griffith, and says she plans to divorce Rogers ASAP.

The couple was arrested on April 23 after police were called to their house (actually his parents') and found 12 bindles of heroin in their possession.

Evans claimed from the start that the drugs belonged to her estranged spouse, and with Courtland's plea, she may have grounds for dismissal.

Jenelle’s court date was pushed back until August 12, where she must appear again for both the heroin and assault charges if they aren't tossed.

Sounds like there's a good chance they will be, though.

“My lifeeeeee is soooooo greaaaaat! PERFECTO!” the Carolina hurricane bragged on Twitter after the hearing yesterday, for what that's worth.

As you can see in this Captain Phillips trailer, the film follows the events surrounding Captain Richard Phillips his ship, the MV Maersk Alabama, being taken hostage by Somali pirates.

These are two great posters. The international one, featuring Hanks, does a great job at conveying the general plot. There are pirates (one of whom has a case of the crazy eyes)... they have guns... Tom Hanks is nervous. The domestic one-sheet is just an exercise in great composition.

Farrah Abraham's controversial, short-lived stint in rehab ended early in part because she got physical with a nurse ... according to Michael Lohan.

The reality star was kicked out for being a disruptive influence and taking pics of Tan Mom, but that's not all, says Lindsay Lohan's dad (who was there).

MiLo says Farrah Abraham“physically cornered” a nurse at the facility, the last of a string of outrageous incidents that earned her the heave-ho.

“She would just go off on tirades,” Michael Lohan recalled to Jared and Katie in the Morning on 107.5 KZL FM. “She was very abrasive towards staff."

Mike is a spokesperson and an interventionist at The Lukens Institute, so he's got first-hand knowledge of the antics that got Farrah's arse kicked out.

“Especially the nurse at our place. She physically cornered the lady. She cornered the nurse,” Michael told Jared and Katie about her shocking behavior.

Farrah denied reports that she was booted out of the treatment center, telling FOX News “My old manager, who is a lying b!tch, said I was disruptive.”

However, Michael says that Abraham totally was ... not surprising, as she's a pathological liar as well as a porn star, despite her denials of each.

“She was very disruptive at the house. They didn’t even want her in the house.”

There's a new member of the Fox News family.

The network announced today that anchor Megyn Kelly has given birth to a son named Thatcher Bray.

He weighs in at 8 pounds, 2 ounces; is the third child for Kelly and husband Douglas Brunt; and is "totally awesome," according to the mother herself.

Kelly and Brunt were married in 2008 and are already parents to Yates, 4, and Yardley, 2.

The reporter announced on Valentine's Day - live on air! - that she and Doug were expecting their third child. She then went on to eviscerate Lou Dobbs and Erick Erickson on her program.

Anthony Weiner says he is staying in the 2013 race for Mayor of New York City despite falling poll numbers and mounting pressure for him to exit.

He had actually been near the top of the Democratic field before The Dirty released Anthony Weiner nude photos and explicit texts earlier this week.

The fact that the sexting with Sydney Leathers occurred a year after he quit Congress in disgrace over online affairs leaves his comeback bid in peril.

But in the face of rivals' calls to drop out and concern among Democratic leaders that more embarrassing revelations could emerge, he's staying in.

Weiner is adamant that he won’t leave the race over the sexting scandal, soldiering on during a candidates forum Thursday night in Queens.

Still, it's hard to see his campaign rebounding from this one.

Scandals blow over and voters are more inclined to give politicians second chances than you often think ... but this was his, and he's just ridiculous.

Full-on crotch shots Weiner sent Leathers, 23, were reciprocated by shots of the Indiana resident in a thong-like panty, and another of her in heels.

New York City voters' fears? Totally assuaged right now.

She's been dropped by corporate partners left and right, but a two-year quest to dedicate a Paula Deen museum in Albany, Georgia, is apparently still underway.

Business woman BJ Fletcher has been working with the Deens and the city to move Paula's childhood to one of two downtown locations for the museum.

"Well, if you think about it, when visitors come, the first thing they do is they come to the Visitor's Bureau," she said of the potential Albany attraction.

"The Riverfront Bar-be-que, Ice Cream Scoops, Flint Riverquarium, et cetera. And it's be cool to sort of sandwich it right in the middle of all of that."

The proposed Paula Deen Museum would include a retail shop as well as cooking facilities for students that would no doubt feature Paula Deen recipes.

No official location or date has been established, but it looks like it'll take more than lawsuits or Aunt Jemima rumors to taint her reputation back home.

Ariel Castro agreed to a plea deal in an Ohio courtroom Friday that will save him from the death penalty, but never again will he see the light of day.

He was sentenced to life, plus 1,000 years in prison.

The deal, reached with prosecutors, would let him avoid the possibility of a death sentence and spare his victims from having to testify at a trial.

The plea deal entails that the Cleveland kidnapping perpetrator be sentenced to life in prison without parole - he will never even get a parole hearing.

It would also mean that a trial Castro was facing on August 5 would not happen and he would not face the possibility of being sentenced to death.

Judge Michael J. Russo went over the deal with Castro, and told him that he would be labeled as a sexual predator. Castro replied that he understood.

Russo went through charges Ariel Castro faces relating to the allegations he held three women captive for a decade and asked how he pleaded.

Over and over and over again, he replied: "Guilty."

An attorney for three kidnapping victims told CNN that they were hoping for a plea deal because they did not want to take the stand at Castro's trial.

One can certainly sympathize with that.

A law firm representing Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry and Georgina "Gina" DeJesus, issued a statement after Ariel Castro agreed to a plea.

"Amanda, Gina, and Michelle are relieved by today's plea," according to Jones Day.

"They are satisfied by this resolution to the case, and are looking forward to having these legal proceedings draw to a final close in the near future."

The women want to remain private and don't want to speak to media or others, the statement said, but they're grateful for the support they've received.

Mario Batali is known for cooking up some seriously delicious Italian recipes.

But while speaking with guest host Anthony Bourdain on Piers Morgan Live this week, the world famous chef made it clear what would be on his menu if Justin Bieber ever peed in his kitchen:

Those are the exact words Batali used when asked how he'd react if Bieber peed in one of his restaurant's mop buckets, as the singer was caught on tape doing in footage that circulated a few weeks ago.

Dog the Bounty Hunter's wife Beth Chapman apparently found herself on the other side of the law after a bizarre incident this week in Colorado.

While fishing with her husband and kids, a teenager in a car sped past.

Chapman yelled at the teen, calling her a tramp, a slut and a whore.

Beth then reportedly called 911, alleging that someone who was with the teenage driver was carrying a gun. Police arrived, but the Chapmans had left.

However, because it's illegal to taunt someone with "coarse language" in Colorado, the teenager filed a criminal harassment complaint against Chapman.

Police attempted to notify Beth Chapman to pick up the summons, but she reportedly did not show up, at which point they issued an arrest warrant.

Yes, Colorado legalized marijuana, but you can't call someone a tramp.

According to news reports, her lawyer has reportedly been in contact with local authorities to arrange the logistics of Dog's wife turning herself in.

We'd watch out if we were these crazy-driving teens.

According to one source, Kim Kardashian loves Absolutely Fabulous.

And according to another, the first-time parent has similar thoughts about Amanda Bynes.

During a talk sow segment with Ryan Seacrest Thursday, Kris Jenner said of her daughter: "She's obsessed with [Bynes] and really wants her to be fabulous and get well."

Bynes, of course, is a long way from well.

She's been hospitalized for major mental issues and has requested a hearing to get out of the psych ward.

Seacrest compared the situation to the troubles Britney Spears went through many years ago, while both he and Jenner agreed that it's all about who you are surrounded by.

"This is something that, for me as a mom, makes me very sad, but happy that she's getting perhaps the help that she needs for one reason or another," Kris said. "I like to look at the glass half full. And so I'm really glad that, whatever's going on, this would be the start of a new beginning for her."

In somewhat related news, Jenner's talk show is abysmal.

The legal saga surrounding Amanda Bynes' mental illness continues as she canceled a hearing that she requested Friday, saying she needs time for meds to kick in.

Bynes initially wanted an emergency hearing at the psychiatric hospital where she's being treated, arguing that she's being held illegally against her will.

A judge decided Thursday that the 5150 psychiatric hold keeping her there - usually capped at 72 hours - would be extended another two weeks.

She wanted to challenge that ruling, but eventually concurred with her attorney that they had no new case, and asked for a hearing on August 1.

The 27-year-old and her lawyer believe the medication she's now on will improve her condition and allow her to make a stronger case for freedom.

Bynes clearly doesn't want to be in the psychiatric ward or under a legal conservatorship run by her parents, which they have already requested.

She's being kept in the hospital regardless, however, because she is deemed a danger to herself and/or others, but the meds could be a positive step.

Up until now, she's refused to grasp (or at least acknowledge) that she even has a problem, so perhaps she has seen the light ... time will tell.

In any case, Amanda Bynes' parents are trying to set up a conservatorship that would give them control of her medical, financial and legal affairs.

Her parents believe this is essential to save her from herself, as she is a substance abuser who is paranoid, delusional and draining her bank account.

In court documents, they say she has become "extremely paranoid about being watched," covering smoke alarms with towels and taping windows shut.

They note, as Twitter users know well, that she has "profound body image issues" and is "obsessed with the fact that she (and others) are ugly."

The star has at least $4 million in the bank, according to her mom and dad, but has also blown $1.2 million in very little time. On what, it's unclear.

Rick and Lynn Bynes think she spends "a substantial amount" on weed and other illegal substances, but the missing cash is unaccounted for.

Amanda also told them she "cabbed it" from New York to L.A. after being kicked out of her hotel there, and her parents believe she is now homeless.

The court denied their petition for a conservatorship Friday, but only temporarily. With Bynes still in the hospital, the judge wanted more time to rule.
