On Sunday, in honor of that fact, the star was joined by more than 50 of her close friends and family, including her Texas family members and stars like Grey's Anatomy's Ellen Pompeo, Jess' sister Ashlee and Jessica Alba, for a baby shower!
Aside from the big names, it was a pretty standard soiree.
"It was a kid friendly shower with many of her friends bringing babies," a source says. "Jessica [Alba] brought her baby Haven and Ashlee brought Bronx."
Earlier this month, the singer/actress/designer confirmed to Elle (which features Jessica Simpson nude on its cover) that she is expecting a baby girl.
Coming as no surprise, pink and yellow was the surrounding color theme of the day, with tube-shaped balloons and spring tulips throughout the venue.
"She received tons of gifts mostly wrapped in pink boxes," adds the source. "There were several books, stuffed toys and clothes among other items."
"She seemed completely ecstatic" an eyewitness added.
Heidi Klum took the stage this weekend when UNICEF, a global charity organization, held a karaoke event with celebrities to raise money for a school in Africa.
At the event, Klum was set to sing “My Girl” with Smokey Robinson. He never showed up, which could've been a disaster, but things took a very positive turn.
The New York Post reported that Klum came out and told the audience the news: “Smokey stood me up. He was supposed to sing ‘My Girl’ with me."
Little did she know, there were other plans in motion. The host of the event suggested everybody join together in a rendition of the Village People’s "YMCA."
It turned out to be quite the star-studded performance!
Klum tweeted photos of the event showing herself and other celebrities in Village People attire. The celebrities joining Klum included Wayne Brady, Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, and Castle stars Jon Huertas and Seamus Dever.
You absolutely will not believe this, but at least one person out there thinks an engagement has been arranged for the sake of reality TV ratings. We'll give you a moment to get over the shock...
In the wake of Tamra Barney's engagement to Eddie judge, co-star Gretchen Rossi has come out and called BS on the entire arrangement.
Without quoting any sources directly, TMZ claims Rossi was actually approached by Real Housewives of Orange County producers first, as they asked her and Slade Smiley to get engaged on this season's finale.
They even, allegedly, bribed Smiley with a free ring and an all-expenses-paid trip to wherever he wanted to pop the question. But Slade and Gretchen turned down this offer.
Tamra and Eddie, though, jumped all over it and the same insider says Bravo helped organize the entire proposal. No comment as of yet from the network, Rossi or Judge.

George Clooney is a free man, and also a talkative one, as the Oscar winner appeared on Fox News Sunday yesterday just two days after he was arrested outside the Sudanese Embassy in D.C.
Clooney came out and accused that nation's president, Omar al-Bashir, of "bombing indiscriminate, innocent civilians with Antonov planes" and added:
"They kill people, but more than that, they're keeping them hiding in the rocks, in the caves, so that they can't farm, and they miss their planting season this year. This is the oldest society in the world, if you read the Bible. These people have been there forever, and now they're not going to be able to feed themselves coming up in the next few months."
The star speaks from first-hand experience and says he has no regrets over Friday's arrest.
"I grew up in a family that believed that your job was to be involved with your fellow man. You have a responsibility to participate in the human condition, one way or another."

Lindsay Lohan isn't taking any more chances with her freedom.
After another bout with trouble last week, during which LiLo was accused of a hit-and-run on some schmoe, she is following the advice of her closest friends and keeping things VERY low key until her probation is up in two weeks.
She claims she did nothing wrong, and at least one eyewitness agreed, the train wreck once again found herself in the news for all the wrong reasons.
A club-goer claimed LiLo hit him with her car in Hollywood early Thursday, then drove off, something that could violate her probation if is were true.
It doesn't look like it is, but the latest incident prompted people close to Lindsay to flat out beg her to stop going out at night until her probation ends.
Lindsay agreed and will now only leave her house when she really has to, like for her counseling or court ordered community service at the morgue.
Her next, and potentially last, probation hearing is set for March 29.
Taylor Swift is back with her second song off The Hunger Games soundtrack.
The superstar, who has already released the official video for "Safe and Sound," surprised fans in New Zealand over the weekend with an acoustic version of "Open Eyes," a track that will accompany Katniss and company on screen this Friday when the biggest movie of the year opens.
"I'm really excited about it... but, I mean, you don't think I'd get in trouble if I played it now? Probably not, right?" Swift teased thousands of attendees in Auckland before launching into the track.

Inside the publication, Bieber jokes that he's actually a "40-year old man in disguise," while warning new and old fans that his upcoming album will be a departure from his past material.

Donald Trump is not surprised, or sad, to say the least, about Rosie O'Donnell's recent misfortunes. He says he's known what a failure she is since the get-go.
If you missed it, Oprah cancelled Rosie's show last week - amid reports of chaos on what staffers called "hellish" set - to her former adversary's delight.
Trump went on Twitter this morning and wrote, "Rosie O'Donnell has failed again. Her ratings were abysmal and Oprah cancelled her on Friday night."
"When will media executives learn that Rosie just hasn't got it."
Trump has been bashing Rosie for years, claiming the former co-host on The View was a "pig" and a "loser" after she called him a "snake-oil salesman."

Ashton Kutcher is about to take a serious hike, and not just out of the home he shared with Demi Moore.
The Two and a Half Men star has signed on to be the 500th future pedestrian astronaut, as he'll board a Virgin Galactic shuttle and join Richard Branson's dream of sending everyday people into space via the first-ever commercial, Milky Way-based airline.
"I gave Ashton a quick call to congratulate and welcome him," Branson wrote on his blog today. "He is as thrilled as we are at the prospect of being among the first to cross the final frontier (and back!) with us and to experience the magic of space for himself."
The Virgin Galactic program is based out of New Mexico and Branson - who plans to be on board the initial flight with his children - had set 2012 as the year in which he hopes to officially kick off the endeavor.
Let's just hope Kutcher takes his sitcom's awful jokes with him when he leaves.
Away from reality TV cameras and free to roam amid additional scrutiny from paparazzi cameras, The Bachelor stars Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson are playing the loving couple in the aftermath of their controversial winter on ABC.
Things appear to be going well and relatively uneventfully ... mostly.
Ben, who recently shared his first public pic with Courtney, appears eager to prove the skeptics wrong and show that their relationship is the real deal.
The reality couple put on quite the amorous (and camera ready) display when Ben picked Courtney Robertson up from the San Francisco airport last week.
They acted like lovebirds as they locked lips and cuddled publicly upon being reunited, her Neil Lane diamond ring still firmly on her finger, witnesses say.
However, the pair's PDA will undeniably be met with cynicism by some.
Last week during the After the Final Rose special, Ben Flajnik admitted the negativity surrounding the season caused them to break off their engagement.

A month after Kony 2012, the documentary about the crimes of indicted Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony, took the Internet by storm, a sequel has arrived.
A sequel that's more of a follow-up to capitalize on the success of the original, which drew more than 100 million views on YouTube, but a sequel just the same.
The non-profit Invisible Children released a new film, Kony 2012: Part II - Beyond Famous, today. You can watch the 20-minute expose in its entirety here:
Kony 2012 drew attention to the reign of terror by Joseph Kony's Lord's Resistance Army and examined strategies activists take to stop the guerilla leader.
Accused of kidnapping children and turning them into soldiers, among other war crimes, the Ugandan national has become persona non grata ... everywhere.
Missing from the sequel is Jason Russell, the Invisible Children co-founder who directed the first installment and ended up arrested and hospitalized after an unbelievable meltdown earlier this month near his home in San Diego.
As he recovers, Invisible Children seeks to silence critics that the group practices "slacktivism," i.e. oversimplifying issues and having the adverse effect of elevating Kony's celebrity instead of tackling the complexities of the subject.
"One month later, we are releasing this film to explain the creation of the campaign, the progress that's already been made and what we can all do now to put a stop to the violence of the LRA," says narrator Ben Keesey in the new film.
This time around, the film expounds on things that went unmentioned in Kony 2012, like the fact that Kony and his army had abandoned northern Uganda in 2006 and that the conditions in the region have vastly improved.
The African outlaw remains a threat to neighboring countries, however.
They also aim to provide viewers with ways to make a difference, including contacting U.S. policymakers and calling on them to increase funding to help end the conflict in central Africa and capture Joseph Kony himself.
In the hours following the release of the full Whitney Houston autopsy - which details a drug-laden hotel room and the state of the singer's dead body, lying face down in a bathtub, blood pooling off her nose - many fans of the singer are reacting with disgust and sadness.

Insiders tell TMZ that Cissy Houston is "devastated" and "inconsolable" over these findings, crying uncontrollably after reading the evidence that her daughter suffered from a deep-seeded cocaine problem.

Not surprisingly, President Obama has released a new TV ad this week, in response to criticism he's incurred from oil companies - and Mitt Romney.
The President argues that he has actually boosted domestic oil production, and is only a target because he sought to end tax breaks for oil corporations.
Tax breaks that would ease the burden on average Americans - by his calculus, at least. Obama's ad not-so-subtly links big oil to, you guessed it, Mitt. Watch:
Desperate Housewives star Vanessa Williams is bravely and surprisingly opening up about sexual abuse she endured as a 10-year-old at the hands of a teenage girl.
In a revealing interview in the new issue of People, Williams says the incident occurred when she was staying with family friends and their 18-year-old daughter.
The 18-year-old entered her room and “pulled down the bloomers of my cotton baby doll pajamas,” said Vanessa. “I lay there paralyzed. What was I going to do?”
Williams remained close-lipped about the sexual abuse for many years, but is now sharing her secret in her upcoming memoir, fittingly titled You Have No Idea.
Despite the childhood trauma, the former Miss America said it didn’t emotionally scar her for life - however, there were long-lasting, indirect consequences.
“It didn’t paralyze me, and I don’t dwell,” she explained, although it did cause her to act more rebellious and “pull away” from her parents as a youngster.
