As we continue to await good news in the sad case of Bobbi Kristina Brown, more details are emerging about the daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston.
Bobbi Kristina was hospitalized on Saturday for reasons that were unclear at the time. It was reported that she was found unconscious in her bathtub, and many fans feared that 21-year-old had succumbed to a drug addiction like her late mother.
However, authorities indicated that no drugs were found in Bobbi Kristina's home, and the cause of her hospitalization is now listed as "drowning."
Sources say Bobbi's brain functioning was "significantly diminished" by her accident, and the early prognoses were bleak.
Now, however, it's being reported that Bobbi Kristina is showing signs of recovery, and while it is still unknown when - or even if - she will emerge from her medically-induced coma, for now doctors are hopeful.
A message posted to Whitney Houston's official Facebook page today offers a frightening but hopeful assessment of the situation:
"Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family," reads the statement. "As her father already stated, we are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time."
"Thank you for your prayers and well wishes, and we greatly appreciate your continued support."
We'll have further updates on Bobbi Kristina's progress as more information becomes available.
