Before the Green Bay Packers line up across the field from the Pittsburgh Steelers for Super Bowl XLV, Christina Aguilera will sing the game's national anthem.
"I have been performing the anthem since I was 7 years old, and I must say the Super Bowl is a dream come true," the singer said today in a press release. "I am really excited to be part of such an iconic event."
Aguilera is no stranger to singing this song prior to significant sporting match-ups. She did so at Game 7 of the NBA Finals last year, as seen below. Think Christina is a good choice for the Super Bowl?
Elsewhere, The Black Eyes Peas will be the game's halftime act, representing the first time since we all saw Janet Jackson's nipple that a group with a hit single at some point in the last decade has been selected for this honor.
