The backlash against Josh Duggar is well underway.
Yesterday, it came out that the 19 Kids and Counting star was investigated for child molestation in 2002, as sources revealed Duggar groped five girls back in the day - including his sisters.
Duggar, his parents and his wife then issued a statement in which they acknowledged the molestation actually took place and asked folks for forgiveness.
But Montel Williams isn't about to let Josh Duggar off the hook.
The reality star's actions are heinous enough on their own, of course, but Williams went on a Twitter rant last night that focused on the hypocrisy of the 26-year old.
“BREAKING: Josh Duggar, a world class bigot, admits sexually abusing young girls – has consistently stated that LGBT folks r danger to kids,” Williams wrote.
“Gosh, yet another anti-gay alleged “Christian” defender turns out to be a garden variety scumbag.”
And the former talk show host was far from finished.
"Sorry, Josh Duggar is a bigot, slimebag. Whole family is, and [Family Research Council] is a scam.
"Yup, Gay people are the danger to kids? NOPE, JOSH DUGGAR IS.”
Duggar has resigned from the Family Research Council in the wake of this scandal.
But many people understandably feel that he deserves far more punishment.
“When @joshduggar makes amends to the #lgbt community for his faux-Christian hypocrisy I’ll be pleased to do so," Williams replied to a follower who asked why Montel lacks room on his heart to "forgive."
He went on to call the entire Duggar family "fake" and asked:
"How do u preach gay people are ‘danger to kids’ KNOWING and lying about sexually assaulting kids urself & not b what I called him?"
Finally, in closing, Williams simply Tweeted:
"The entire purpose of my rant about Josh Duggar is to illustrate a simple truth: Everything we judge we walk through."
