Apparently, Katie Hamilton has been cast on The Real Housewives of Orange County because she has a lot of drama.
Her debut hasn't even aired yet, but she is already in the news.
The RHOC star and wife of LA Angels player and Major League Baseball MVP, Josh Hamilton, has opened up about the divorce that “blindsided” her.
In a Radar Online exclusive, Katie stated that “nothing sparked” the divorce. According to her, there was no infidelity and no “big fight.”
In fact, when Josh initiated the breakup, she was surprised. And according to her statement, she isn't ready to let go.
“I’ve always stood by him and I’ll always stand by him,” she said. “I support and love him now and down the road.”
Earlier this year, before spring training, Josh underwent shoulder surgery. Shortly after, he came clean about abusing cocaine and alcohol.
Despite his MLB status as a Most Valuable Player, he was suspended for three seasons between 2003 and 2005 and was ordered to submit to routine drug testing.
The couple has been married for 10 years. Regardless of their lengthy relationship, Josh’s priorities seems to be in a strange place.
According to the Dallas Morning News, he petitioned that Katie could have no access to his Maserati and 1972 Chevrolet Blazer.
We are guessing Katie wants the Maserati because she denied the petition. Now, the couple has agreed not to communicate during the remaining divorce proceedings.
Currently, Josh can only visit his kids with supervision.
Their $16.5 million home in Newport Coast is on the market.
