Still, life will go on for The Vampire Diaries Season 6, as it finally returns from a lengthy hiatus on Thursday, January 22.
The first episode of 2015 will be titled "Awoke with a Monster" - and it might make Nikki Reed jealous.
That's because The CW has unveiled an extended trailer for the action ahead and it looks as if Dobrev's Elena will be getting hot and heavy once again with Somerhalder's Damon Salvatore.
It also looks as if Kai will be very confident that his plan will go through, while Sarah Salvatore will make her debut and Stefan will clash with Enzo over her fate.
