She just joined the cast this year, but Lisa Rinna started stirring up drama on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills right from the start.
Now it seems the actress may be regretting her intense approach to securing a long-term spot on the show:
Sources say Rinna has become intensely jealous of friend and co-star Eileen Davidson, and it's not only because of Davidson's record salary.
"Lisa had hoped joining the show would help revive her career and offer some exciting new opportunities," says one production insider.
Instead, it seems Davidson has become "the instant fan hit" that Rinna had hoped to be.
"Viewers have responded to Eileen's cool, calm demeanor," says the source. "Whereas with Lisa it just seems like she's trying too hard."
Lisa's dramatic flare-ups - such as when she freaked out on Kim Richards over Harry Hamlin cheating allegations - may be good for ratings, but they're certainly not good for her reputation.
"The feedback Lisa has received from joining the show hasn't been good," the insider claims. "In fact, this could hurt her career. She's jealous of Eileen's success so far on the show."
