The pregnant Kate Middleton is out of the hospital and in good spirits.
The mother-to-be was admitted with severe morning sickness earlier in the week, just as the palace was confirming the long-awaited news that the Duchess is expecting.
The 30-year-old Kate left King Edward VII Hospital in London today after four days. With Prince William by her side, she smiled and carried a bouquet of yellow flowers.
"The Duchess of Cambridge has been discharged from the King Edward VII Hospital and will now head to Kensington Palace for a period of rest," a palace rep said in a statement.
"Their Royal Highnesses would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and especially the staff at the hospital for the care and treatment the Duchess has received."
Kate was admitted for a condition known as hyperemesis gravidarum, or HG, which occurs in 1-2 percent of pregnancies but is not harmful to the baby.
Just brutal for the mother.
Some speculate that HG is linked to multiples, which might mean Kate Middleton is pregnant with twins, but that has not been substantiated in the least.
Would be cute, though.
Her siblings, James and Pippa Middleton, visited the ailing Duchess in the hospital, as did mother Carole. Let's hope the beloved royal recuperates quickly and fully!
