Gawker Media has issued a response to Hulk Hogan's $100 million lawsuit.
The company - which released a one minute and 41-second clip of Hogan pounding Heather Clem on its website - has asked the judge to throw out the wrestler's suit because Hogan already admitted in a 2009 book that he had cheated on wife Linda.
Therefore, the video could not have soiled his reputation, as Hulk alleges.
Moreover, Gawker takes the side that it didn't record the video; it merely alerted the public to snippets from it. Isn't that the job of any news source?
Both sides are now awaiting the ruling from a judge.
