Long-time comedian Leo Anthony Gallagher - simply "Gallagher" on stage - is awake and in good spirits following a heart attack, his manager tells E! News.
The watermelon-smashing icon felt intense chest pains prior to a show in Texas last week and was actually placed in a medically-induced coma on Thursday. But Christina Scherrer now confirms that her client is breathing on his own, moving around and flashing signs of his regular personality to visitors.
"We're not sure how long the doctors will want him to stay yet," Scherrer says, adding hopefully. "So far so good, can't wait to have him back!"
Gallagher also suffered a heart attack about one year ago in Minnesota. It's unknown at this time when he'll return to performing, but he reportedly has no plans to retire any time soon.
