In the days since Caitlyn Jenner made her debut on the cover of Vanity Fair, there have been lots of questions regarding how the 65-year-old reality star's interactions with her family would change.
Yesterday, sources claimed the Jenner kids were confused about what to do with Caitlyn for Father's Day. Today, insiders are saying Kendall and Kylie will continue to call Caitlyn "Dad."
It makes sense. After all, Caitlyn's kids have been thinking of her as their father for several decades now, and referring to him any other would be jarring and weird.
But what about the grandkids? They're still young, and future grandkids (such as the one that Kim is carrying now) will likely follow suit with whatever name their siblings and cousins use for Caitlyn.
At the same time, kids are easily confused, so it's best to keep any changes as simple as possible.
Radar Online is reporting that Caitlyn has worked out a solution to the name problem, and while she will be dropping her grandpa status, she'll also be making the transition gradually.
“Caitlyn doesn’t want what the grandkids call her to change too much because it will confuse them," says one insider. “If not just ‘Grandma,’ Caitlyn is thinking of ‘Grams,’ ‘Grandma C.’ or something along those lines.”
Sources say the kids are still calling her Grandpa at the moment, but she's working on easing them into changing that "P" to an "M."
Of course, North West has been calling him Mama Bruce for weeks, so there's no telling if she'll stick to her guns or change with the times. The kid is a rebel.
