You may want to sit down for this: Chris Brown is in trouble with the law.
We know you're shocked, but don't worry - the father of Royalty hasn't been arrested yet, but he is under investigation for battery following a brawl that took place on the basketball court of Chris' Palms Casino hotel suite.
Yes, Chris Brown gets arrested for various dickish offenses every year but is still successful enough to afford a hotel suite with a basketball court inside. This is the world we live in.
Anyway, cops believe Chris was playing ball at 3:42 am when he popped one of his opponents in the face.
He can now either sign a citation for misdemeanor battery and show up for a court hearing, or take his chances with the DA, who will decide whether to press charges after the investigation is completed.
Brown's had way too many run-ins with the law for us to list them all here, so we'll just share some recent highlights:
- Brown's probation was revoked in January due to a "pattern of counterproductive choices." (Yes, he's still on probation for brutally beating Rihanna in 2009. That'll happen when you don't meet any of the court's demands.)
- This came on the heels of Brown being jailed for 22 days after being kicked out of a court-ordered rehab program.
- And, of course, Suge Knight was shot at a party hosted by Chris last year, and that's just one of several times that Breezy has been in the presence of gunplay in the recent past.
All of this, and it could be punching a guy during a basketball game that lands Brown behind bars. Kinda like nailing Al Capone for tax evasion.
