Following Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 1, we couldn't have been more excited to witness the unexpected pairing of Tyrion and Daenerys, as the former was convinced by Varys to meet his preferred next ruler.
But now we must make an amendment:
We actually couldn't be more excited to witness where this Jaime and Bronn alliance goes!
Indeed, Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 2 focused on a number of character pairings - but none left a bigger smile on our face than that of Jaime tracking down Bronn... dismissing his fiancee... promising him a better one... and enticing him to become his partner in rescuing Jaime and Cersei's daughter.
Dorne, here they come! We can't wait.
Elsewhere, Tyrion kept drinking a whole lot, as he and Varys embarked on their very long journey.
We also caught up with Arya for the first time on Game of Thrones Season 5, as she made her way to The House of Black and White.
Jaqen H'ghar didn't exactly make it easy for her there, but once Arya's dedication was made apparent, he presented himself and another Season 5 alliance was born.
Stannis, meanwhile, continues to hope that Jon Snow will come on board with his plan to take over the throne, offering the world's most beloved bastard a chance to be King of the North.
But Jon Snow is nothing is not loyal. Not only is he remaining with the Night's Watch, but he's now been voted the Lord Commander. Sorry, Stannis.
In other fun pairing news, Brienne and Podrick continued on their not-so-merry way, only to run smack dab into Littlefinger and Stansa.
Brienne wasn't exactly able to talk the young Ms. Stark into coming with her, however, leading to her and Podrick having to race away on horses... and Brienne having to come to her companion's rescue.
These two should totally hook up!
Finally, The Mother of Dragons may be able to call herself that again.
With things looking bleak for Dany in Meereen, we ended the installment with yet another awesome alliance, one that could help Dany take yet another step closer to the Iron Throne.
Oh, yes, Drogon has returned!
Anyone else psyched to see what this will mean on Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 3 next Sunday?!?
