We've been saying that Kelly Clarkson is awesome for many years now.
But now someone even more important is saying the same thing: Kelly Clarkson herself!
Late last month, some loser British personality named Katie Hopkins derided Clarkson's appearance after seeing her perform on The Graham Norton Show.
"Jesus, what happened to Kelly Clarkson? Did she eat all of her backing singers?” Hopkins Tweeted, firing back at those who defended the relatively new mother by saying:
"Look chubsters, Kelly Clarkson had a baby a year ago. That is no longer baby weight. That is carrot cake weight."
How does the original American Idol feel about these comments? It's safe to say she's unfazed by the critique.
"She's tweeted something nasty about me? That's because she doesn't know me. I'm awesome! It doesn't bother me. It's a free world. Say what you will," Clarkson told Heat Magazine when asked about Hopkins’ remarks.

Added Clarkson, who recently received praise for noting she wouldn't care if her daughter was gay :
"I've just never cared what people think,. It's more if I'm happy and I'm confident and feeling good, that's always been my thing. And more so now, since having a family - I don't seek out any other acceptance."
