The actress, who you can see as Lemon Breeland when you watch Hart of Dixie online each week, is expecting her second child with husband Kyle Newman.
And she made this exciting piece of information known to the world via an adorable photo of 16-month old son James on Instagram.
"So excited to announce THE SEQUEL Coming later this year!!" the beautiful star wrote alongside the picture of her son. "#BabyTown2 - Created by @kyle_newman and @jaime_king. Also starring #JamesKnight."
King and Newman (who works as a director) got married in 2007 and welcomed their first born in October 2013.
Prior to this blessed event, King faced a number of fertility issues, detailing her eight years of struggling to conceive last summer, when James was nine months old.
"8 yrs of pain & undiagnosed PSOC [Polycystic ovary syndrom] & Endometriosis," she wrote on Instagram at the time.
"5 miscarriages, 5 rounds of IVF [In vitro fertilization], 26 IUIs [Intrauterine insemination], most with no outcome, 4-1/2 years of trying to conceive, 26 hours of brutal labor, early delivery b/c of sudden preeclampsia, tearing and tearing after the stitches were in once I was home."
Since becoming a mother, King has pushed to end the mommy wars that all too often plague the Internet.
We're so very happy for the actress, especially because she can celebrate along with her Hart of Dixie colleagues: Rachel Bilson recently became a mother and Scott Porter's wife is expecting a child.
